Miss Lori Elisabeth Pierce and Mr. Nicholas Wayne Pugh were united in marriage at 6 p.m. May 16, 2009, at First Baptist Church Banquet Hall in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Pierce of Gainesville. The groom is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Wayne Pugh of Lawrenceville.

The Rev. Jentezen Franklin performed the ceremony. Pianist Mr. Bill Mason presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's sister Miss Bethany Pierce of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's cousins Miss Kristen Pierce of Gainesville and Mrs. Hillary Pierce Arant of Alpharetta, the bride's friend Miss Kristen Powers of Gainesville and the groom's sister Miss Noel Pugh of Lawrenceville. The bride's cousin Miss Morgan Pierce of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brothers Mr. Aaron Pugh of Lawrenceville and Mr. Ryan Leaman of Wewahitchka, Fla., the groom's friend Mr. Jeff Shortridge of Cleveland and the bride's brother Mr. Marty Pierce of Gainesville. The bride's cousin Mr. Corder Pierce of Gainesville was the ring bearer. Ushers were Mr. Jonathan Arant, Mr. Dustin Wellborn, Mr. Daniel Wellborn and Mr. Joshua McAlexander.

Mrs. Genia Reid was the wedding coordinator. Miss Danielle Wellborn kept the bride's book. Program attendants were Miss Erica Pierce and Miss Mary Katherine Wellborn.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner in Yonah Hall at Brenau College in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at First Baptist Church Banquet Hall following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, the couple reside in Alpharetta.
