Kellany Ann Merck and George Nathaniel Mathis III were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22, 2015, at Ashton Gardens in Sugar Hill. The bride is the daughter of Kelden and Kimberly Crane Merck of Lula. The groom is the son of George Nathaniel II and Rhonda Clough Mathis of Homer.
The Rev. David Simpson performed the ceremony. Pianist, vocalist and ukuleleist Rachel Tucker of Dandridge, Tenn., presented a program of wedding music. Scripture reading was provided by Sarah McTier of Augusta.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Taylor Thompson Howard of Cumming, Abby Stiles Thompson of Cumming, Megan Haire of Nashville, Tenn., Laura Rose Pickens of Homer, and the groom’s sister Paige Mathis of Homer. The bride’s cousin Haleigh Sargent of Dawsonville was a junior bridesmaid. The groom’s cousin Kiley Mick of Trophy Club, Texas, and the bride’s cousin Kelaiah Watson of Barnesville were the flower girls.
Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Matt Pogue of Dacula, Graylen Peek of Mobile, Ala., Alex Farmer of Newnan, Matt Patton of Carrollton, and the bride’s brother Kolby Merck of Lula. The groom’s cousin Brady Mick of Trophy Club, Texas, was a junior groomsman. The groom’s cousin Carter Mathis of Gillsville and the bride’s cousin Owen Smith of Alto were the ring bearers.
Jennifer Graham was the wedding coordinator.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Lula on the eve of the wedding.
The bride’s parents gave a reception at Ashton Gardens in Sugar Hill following the ceremony.
The couple reside in Braselton.
