Katie Brooke Martin and Matthew Cotesworth Nussbaum were united in marriage at 5 p.m. May 14, 2016, at Smithgall Woods State Park in Helen. The bride is the daughter of Cathy and Alan Sargent of Murrayville and Steve and Kathy Martin of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Hope and Joseph Ebberwein of Savannah and Kemp Nussbaum of Golden, Colo.

The Rev. Charles Buice performed the ceremony.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Marlow Larson of Manhattan, N.Y., was man of honor. The bride’s friend Lainie Larson of Gainesville was the maid of honor. The bride’s niece Brooklyn Patterson of Gainesville served as bridesmaid. The bride’s friend Eve Ferguson of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom’s brother Walt Nussbaum of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s father Kemp Nussbaum of Golden, Colo., and the groom’s friend R.J. Gipaya of Manchester. The groom’s nephew Kaden Hansen of North Platte, Neb., and the bride’s nephew Parker Payne of Gainesville were the ring bearers.

Amy Poole Chosewood was the wedding coordinator.

Joseph and Hope Ebberwein gave a rehearsal dinner at Smithgall Woods State Park in Helen on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Smithgall Woods State Park in Helen following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Mexico, the couple resides in Savannah.
