Holly and James ‘Chris’ Alewine

Miss Holly Hemphill Lynch and Mr. James “Chris” Alewine were united in marriage at 6 p.m. May 14, 2016, at The Chapel of Sky Valley in Sky Valley. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Virginia Williams Lynch and Dr. Edwin Hansford Lynch of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Mrs. Julie Brown Alewine and Mr. James Robert Alewine of Toccoa.

The Rev. Jeremy Henderson performed the ceremony. Mrs. Abbey Gilbert sang “When God Made You”.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s college roommate Mrs. Leslie Hicks of Canton was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s college roommate Mrs. Lacie Marden of Bishop, bride’s sister-in-law Mrs. Ashley Lynch of Murrayville and groom’s sister Mrs. Jill Worley of Toccoa. The matron of honor’s daughter Miss Reagan Hicks was the flower girl.

The groom’s father Mr. James Robert Alewine of Toccoa was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brother-in-law Mr. Juddson Worley of Toccoa, bride’s brother Mr. Taylor Lynch of Murrayville and groom’s nephew Mr. Carson Worley of Toccoa. The groom’s nephew Mr. Easton Worley of Toccoa and son of bridesmaid Mr. Logan Marden of Bishop were the ring bearers.

Mrs. Martha Tankersley was the wedding coordinator.

The bride wore ballet slippers her mother decorated and wore for her own wedding.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Highlands BBQ Company in Highlands, N.C., on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Sky Valley Country Club in Sky Valley following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Grand Isle Resort in Great Exuma, Bahamas, the couple reside in Dahlonega.
