Cynthia Denise Johnson and David Charles Greenwood were united in marriage at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 20, 2008, at Lanier Village Estates in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Brenda J. Smith and Jerry M. Smith, both of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Kathleen C. Greenwood of Winder and Charles L. Greenwood of Cullman, Ala. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Charlene B. Smith.

The ceremony was performed by Tift V. Mattox. Chadwick D. Smith and Jonathan C. Howell of Gainesville were witnesses.

Following a honeymoon to Miami, the couple reside in Gainesville.
