Caroline Lucille Herdener and Raymond Carl Norell III were united in marriage at 2 p.m. May 14, 2016, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch. The bride is the daughter of Catherine Packer Herdener and Anthony Mark Herdener of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Katherine Anne Norell and Raymond Carl Norell II of Monroe, Conn.

Father Eric Hill performed the ceremony.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister-in-law Katherine Herdener of Alexandria, Va., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends, Sally Martin of Atlanta, Tori Hunt of Atlanta, Stacia Chambers of Atlanta, Jeannie Struck of Hoschton, sister of the groom, Katie Trombetta of Hamden, Conn., and friend Amanda Rosenlund of Greenville, S.C. .

The groom’s friend Sean Dinneen of Virginia Beach, Va., was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother Capt. Paul Herdener of Alexandria, Va., friend Nick Prochak of Atlanta, Brian Struck of Hoschton, brother-in-law Joe Trombetta of Hamden, Conn., Tyler Williams of Monroe, Conn., and cousin Michael Norell II of Sherman, Conn. The groom’s nephew Anthony Trombetta of Hamden, Conn., was the ring bearer. Ushers were the groomsmen. Program attendants were Kristin Basquil, Catherine Sholes, Irene Pothoven and Heather Sholes.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The Bradford House in Flowery Branch on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Lake Lanier Islands, Pine Isle Point in Buford following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii, the couple reside in Simpsonville, S.C.
