Robert and Sheila Harrison

Miss Sheila Ann Griffin and Mr. Robert Wayne Harrison Sr. were united in marriage at 11:30 a.m. April 18, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Geneva Griffin of Perry and the late Mr. Thomas Griffin Jr. The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Bryan Harrison Sr.

The Rev. Dr. William Coates Jr. performed the ceremony. Pianist Mrs. Della Ruth Johnson and vocalist Mr. Mark Elam Green presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her brothers Dr. Thomas Griffin III and Mr. Eric Paulk Griffin. The bride's nieces Miss Noelle Anne Griffin and Miss Danielle Edythe Griffin, both of Clayton, N.C., were maids of honor.

The groom's son Mr. Robert Wayne Harrison Jr. of Gainesville, Fla., was the best man. The groom's son-in-law Mr. Austin Lee Davis of Fort Valley was the groomsman. Ushers were Dr. Thomas Griffin III and Mr. Eric Paulk Griffin and the program attendant was Dr. Kara Griffin Moore. Miss Sandra Bonzo and Mrs. Luanne Cape were greeters. Mrs. Lydia Park was the wedding coordinator. Miss Allison Amanda Cape kept the bride's book.

The bride wore a pearl ring that belonged to her friend, the late Mrs. Beth Cope, and carried a sixpence given to her by Mrs. Nell Wiegand.

The groom gave a rehearsal dinner at Luna's in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's mother gave a reception in the Banquet Hall of First Baptist Church in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Bodega Bay, Calif., the couple reside in Gainesville.
