Lindsey and Steven McDowell Jr.

Lindsey Marie Dunagan and Steven Wayne McDowell Jr. were united in marriage at 5 p.m. May 9, 2009, at the Neverland Farms in Cleveland. The bride is the daughter of Bradley and Mary Dunagan of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Brenda and Rick Stapler of Smiths, Ala., and Steven Wayne McDowell Sr. of Columbus.

The Rev. William Coates performed the ceremony. Tim Bowen and David Bell presented a program of wedding music

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's sister Leah Dunagan Hulsey of Murrayville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Amanda Susan Beekman of Charlotte, N.C., Kelly Elizabeth Dickens of Gainesville, the groom's sister Jené Marie Hill of Smiths, Ala., and the bride's friends Beth Ann Hinshaw of Atlanta and Rachel Dickens Thomas of Braselton. The bride's niece Maeve Perry Hulsey of Murrayville was the flower girl.

The groom's friend Jesse Creede Hinshaw of Atlanta was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friend Johnathan Brent Bowden of Rome; the bride's brother Tyler Grant Dunagan of Gainesville; the bride's brother-in-law Britton Stephen Hulsey of Murrayville; and the groom's friends West Wilcox Pryor of Columbus and Daniel Leiman Vaughn of Rome.

Suzy Tebor was the wedding coordinator.

The bride carried a handkerchief belonging to her great-grandmother, a sixpence carried by her mother and sister in their weddings and wore a pearl and diamond necklace given to her by her father.

The groom's mother and stepfather gave a rehearsal dinner at Sandra and Nathan Deal's residence on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at Neverland Farms following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Rome.
