Ms. Jordan Leah Coursey and Mr. Graham Blayne Gilmer were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Nov. 23, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Arthur Coursey of Dawsonville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Keith Gilmer of Gainesville.
The Rev. Tom Smiley and Mr. Aaron Mann performed the ceremony. Pianist and vocalist Mr. Brent Cochran, vocalist Mrs. Ashley Spikes, and organist Ms. Della Ruth Johnson presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Mrs. Nawana McHan of Panama City, Fla., was matron of honor. The bride’s sister Ms. Sydney Coursey of Dawsonville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Mrs. Brooke Smith of Dahlonega, and Mrs. Michelle Eaton of Dahlonega, and the bride’s aunts Mrs. Jennifer Carstens of Alamogorda, N.M., Mrs. Kristin Byrd of Natalia, Texas, and Mrs. Anneke Tschihart of Castroville, Texas. The groom’s cousin Ms. Bailey Godfrey of Gainesville was a junior bridesmaid. The groom’s cousins Ms. Kiala Holloway of Flowery Branch and Ms. Kinsli Holloway of Flowery Branch and the bride’s friend Ms. Reygan Eaton of Dahlonega were the flower girls.
The groom’s father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brother Mr. Eli Gilmer of Gainesville, and the groom’s friends Mr. Sam Weaver of Gainesville, Mr. Matt Smith of Dahlonega, Mr. Trey Pinson of Gainesville, Mr. Nathan Strong of Gainesville, Mr. Avery Rogers of Clermont, and Mr. Andrew Smith of Gainesville. The groom’s friend Mr. Ty Smith of Gainesville was a junior groomsman. The bride’s nephew Mr. Taven Parrish of Dahlonega and the groom’s cousin Mr. Caden Holloway of Flowery Branch were the ring bearers.
Ms. Tami Taylor was the wedding coordinator. Ms. Emily Rogers and Ms. Katie Smith were program attendants. The bride’s cousin Ms. Brynlea Byrd kept the bride’s book.
The bride wore her great-grandmother’s opal ring. A brooch belonging to the groom’s grandmother was placed in the center of the bride’s garter.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at the banquet hall at First Baptist Church in Gainesville on the evening of Nov. 21.
The parents of the bride and groom gave a reception at the grand ballroom at the Gainesville Civic Center in Gainesville following the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon to Honolulu, Hawaii, the couple reside in Dahlonega.
