Meredith and John Ford

Meredith Ruth Burruss and John Charles Ford were united in marriage at 3 p.m. May 31, 2008, at The Stovall House in Sautee Nacoochee. The bride is the daughter of Melvin and Martha Burruss of Clermont. The groom is the son of Huey and Sandra Ford of Murrayville.

The ceremony was performed by Michael H. Burer. Pianist Janet Rainwater, vocalist and guitarist Brad Faulkner and vocalist Jennifer Ford presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Brandy Underwood Wilson of Gainesville was matron of honor. The bride's cousins Amanda Smith and Jessica Smith, both of Watkinsville, were the flower girls.

The groom's friend Stephen Howard of Gainesville was the best man. The bride's friend Jake Wilson of Gainesville was the ring bearer. Ushers were Jason and Justin Burruss and Chris and David Ford.

Shelia Burruss and Cindi Gilreath were the wedding coordinators. Joy and Emily Rogers assisted.

The bride wore a pearl necklace that was worn by her mother at her wedding.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Sautee Nacoocheee Community Hall in Sautee Nacoochee on the eve of the wedding.

Following a honeymoon to Destin, Fla., the couple reside in Gainesville.
