Elizabeth Meagan Briscoe and Michael David Johnson were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. June 14, 2008, at The Highlands United Methodist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Bimbo and Elaine Hurley Briscoe of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Alan and Margaret Aiken of Braselton and James and Cindy Johnson of Gainesville.

The Rev. Jeff Coleman performed the ceremony. Pianist Carlene Archer and vocalist Anne Ayers presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride's friend Keri Smith of Gainesville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Lauren Gough, Loren Miller, Bonnie Hunt and Alli Roberts, all of Gainesville, and Amanda Powell and Maribeth Rice, both of Toccoa. The matron of honor's daughter Lawson Smith of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends James Campbell, Ryan Beasley, Matt Hamby, Tyler Nicholson and Justin Martin, all of Gainesville, and the groom's brother Chad Johnson of Gainesville. The groom's nephew Cameron Caylor of Gainesville was the ring bearer.

Lyda Park was the wedding coordinator. Liz Peck kept the bride's book.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Poor Richard's in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at the Gainesville Civic Center in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Gainesville.
