Megan Elisa Merritt and Jason Michael Garza were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Aug. 26, 2017, in the Crane Cottage Garden at Jekyll Island Club Hotel in Jekyll Island, Ga. The bride is the daughter of Marie and Larry Merritt of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Sheila and Randy Garza of Irving, Texas.
Lena Klein performed the ceremony. Cellist Brittany Maroney presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Merilynn Woodfin of Gainesville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister-in-law Abby Merritt of Decatur, the groom’s sister-in-law Patricia Garza of San Diego, Calif., and the bride’s friend Allison Kretovic of Atlanta. The bride’s niece Evelyn Woodfin of Gainesville and the groom’s niece Ellie Garza of San Diego, Calif., were the flower girls.
The groom’s brother Justin Garza of San Diego, Calif., was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother Martin Merritt of Decatur and the groom’s friends Marco Ancheita of Atlanta and Ricardo Munoz of Dallas, Texas. The couple’s dachshund Dylan Dog was the ring bearer.
The bride’s sister Merilynn Woodfin was the wedding coordinator.
The bride wore a guarder from her mother’s wedding and the couple toasted their ceremony with champagne flutes from the bride’s aunt and uncle Katherine and John Merritt.
The bride’s aunt Linda Merritt of Amelia Island hosted the bridesmaid luncheon at the Crane Cottage on the day of the ceremony.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Crane Cottage Courtyard at Jekyll Island Club on the eve of the wedding.

Following a honeymoon to Rome and Venice, Italy, the couple reside in Atlanta.
