The Rev. Barbara Brown Taylor is set to hold a forum and book signing in honor of Earth Day on Wednesday.

The forum will focus on her new book, "An Altar In The World: The Geography of Faith," which was released in February. Taylor is an Episcopal priest and a professor of religion at Piedmont College.

The forum, with the book signing to follow, will be at noon April 26 at First Baptist Church on Green Street in Gainesville. The event is open to the public, and lunch will be available for $10.

Along with teaching at Piedmont, Taylor spent 15 years in the ministry. She attended Emory University and Yale Divinity School and is the author of 12 books. She lives on a farm in North Georgia.

Members of First Baptist can contact the church to register; all others call Elachee Nature Science Center at 770-535-1976.
