2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 1 cup butter 3 heaping tablespoons unsweetened cocoa 1 cup Coca-Cola 1/2 cup buttermilk 2 eggs 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows 1 cup chopped pecans, optional Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the flour and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Melt the butter in a small saucepan, then add the cocoa, Coca-Cola and bring it to a boil. Pour over the flour and sugar mixture and mix thoroughly. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes — test for doneness.
Frosting 1/2 cup butter 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa 6 tablespoons Coca-Cola 1- 16 ounce box confectioner’s sugar, sifted 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup chopped pecans, optional Pour the confectioner’s sugar into a medium-sized bowl. Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Pour over the sugar and beat until smooth. Add vanilla and mix. Spread evenly over the hot cake.
