Most people wouldn’t consider three weeks of mopping floors and working in an Israeli military supply warehouse a vacation. But for Gerald Herring, Dennis Pritchett and David James, all of Gainesville, the trip provided a unique way to experience a country and its cultures. It was after a service at Gainesville First Church of the Nazarene when James told his friends about a volunteer trip he’d taken almost 20 years earlier to Israel.
