On May 14, a wide array of dining options are available to take the stress of cooking off moms in celebration of Mother’s Day.
Last Saturday, several foster and adoptive moms even experienced a special brunch of their own as they gathered at Lakewood Baptist Church. Teresa Grimes, minister coordinator for Jochebed’s Hope at Lakewood, explained the event was “truly a gift” to those special mothers.
And now all moms throughout the area can experience the same kind of treatment Sunday as their loved ones take them to one of the various Mother’s Day brunches in Hall County.
Scott Dixon, chef and owner at Scott’s Downtown in Gainesville, said he only has two brunches a year at his restaurant: one on Easter and one on Mother’s Day.
“We are reservation-only for Mother’s Day Brunch and will sell out as we always do,” Dixon said. “I do not overbook or make my table turns too close in time so that people don’t have to wait for their tables or feel rushed.”
With so many restaurants busy like Scott’s, other local places are taking reservations, too, and bound to fill up quickly.
