Brenau to host annual leadership event

Brenau University will present its annual event for women, the Women’s Leadership Colloquium, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, March 18 at the university’s Hosch Auditorium.

The keynote speaker for the colloquium is Amanda Slavin, CEO and founder of community design firm CatalystCreativ.

Slavin was named to Forbes magazine’s “30-Under-30,” the list of the top young marketing and advertising professionals in the nation.

She will be joined by Times Publisher Charlotte Atkins and other guest speakers Carol Burrell, president and CEO of Northeast Georgia Health System, Emmie Henderson Howard, founder of Southern Proper, and Khalilah T. R. Johnson, occupational therapist.

The event will be followed by a wine and cheese reception.
