The following soldiers have graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning in Columbus:

  • Army Pvt. Randell J. Monroe, son of Robin Monroe of Gainesville and a 2007 graduate of Johnson High School.
  • Army National Guard Pvt. Johnathan L. Whitmire, son of Angela Whitmire and Norman Whitmire, both of Flowery Branch, and a 2007 graduate of Flowery Branch High School.

Army National Guard Pvt. Bradley M. Reddick has completed basic combat training and AIT training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. Reddick is the son of Mitch and Pam Reddick of Flowery Branch. He is a 2007 graduate of Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch.

Army Pvt. Quinnetta A. Allen also has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson. She is the daughter of Wentress Noland of Flowery Branch. She is a 2007 graduate of Southside Comprehensive High School in Atlanta.

Air Force Tech. Sgt. Frank P. Townsend III has graduated from the Air Force Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Fla. Townsend, an F-15 weapons expediter, is assigned to the 33rd Fighter Wing, 60th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, Eglin Air Force Base in Valparaiso, Fla. He has served in the military for 12 years. He is the son of Frank P. Townsend II of Gillsville and Janis D. Fowler of Dahlonega.
