NGCS yearbook staff honored
NGCS yearbook staff receives the “Gallery of Excellence” award on the front steps of the high school.

The North Georgia Christian School Yearbook Staff earned its second award this academic year for outstanding work. Walsworth Yearbooks has inducted the 2013 Equus into its “Gallery of Excellence,” which is reserved for only a small percentage of yearbooks the company produces.

Walsworth Yearbooks President Don Walsworth said “these yearbooks are used by our nationwide sales force as great examples, loaned to schools across the country to serve as idea generators and displayed at regional, state and national conventions and workshops.”

“Mrs. Gruver helped us work as a team,” junior Morgan Johnson said when asked what made the success possible. “We had a new editorial staff (this year), and she made it fun.”

In September, the NGCS yearbook staff received the “National Yearbook Program of Excellence” for its work on the 2012 Equus.

Teresa Gruver serves as the faculty yearbook sponsor and praised the staff for their hard work and diligence. Gruver stressed the staff’s commitment to excellence.

“They stayed late, came in on Saturdays, and put in the extra effort to put forth an outstanding yearbook,” she said.
