Georgia Tech President Bud Peterson and his wife, Val, attended a reception at Lake Lanier recently. This was Peterson’s fifth annual Georgia Tour, which serves as an opportunity to meet and thank alumni and friends for continual support of the Institute and to underscore Tech’s commitment to strengthening relationships in communities it serves throughout Georgia. About 460 Gainesville residents are Georgia Tech alumni, and 100 current Georgia Tech students are from Gainesville.
