Eagle Ranch recently completed two new girls' homes on its campus in Chestnut Mountain.

The largest children's home in North Georgia, Eagle Ranch serves 54 boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18. The new homes will increase the Ranch's capacity to serve 12 additional girls.

Eagle Ranch works with children in crisis, focusing on family restoration and reunification.

Eagle Ranch added girls to its program in 2001 with two homes, called "Glory" and "Praise," each serving up to six girls. The new homes will be called "Blessing" and "Mercy."

The new girls' homes were made possible through the generosity of two private donors.

Girls currently living in the Glory and Praise homes will soon move into the new homes so that maintenance and refurbishments can be conducted on the older homes. Eagle Ranch expects to begin filling the new capacity for its girls program in early 2010. Applications for both girls and boys are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Eagle Ranch has 10 homes for children, each staffed with a houseparent couple who provide a healthy, Christ-centered family living environment for the children. In addition to the homes, children and their families receive counseling, and children in grades sixth through ninth attend the school. The average length of stay is about two years.

Since its founding in 1985, the Ranch has served more than 700 boys and girls, providing Christ-centered home life, counseling and education for the children on a 270-acre campus in southern Hall County.
