Clarkesville Writers Society share anthology
Clarkesville library branch manager Delana Knight, third from right, recently received a $750 check from the Clarkesville Writing Society. The Friends of the Cornelia Library hosted writers from the Clarkesville Writers Society for a May 5 reading of “River of Words,” an anthology published by the group.

When CWS wanted to help its Habersham branch, members decided to do what they do best — write. That is how the “River of Words” came to be published. The anthology serves a dual purpose: to showcase CWS writers and raise money for the library. Nineteen local writers contributed 45 fictional pieces, poems, memoirs and essays to the project, which raised $750 to benefit the Clarkesville branch.
