Air Force Airman Brandon A. Martin graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Martin earned distinction as an honor graduate. Martin is the son of Sharon D. and Scott A. Burby of Jacksboro, Texas, and the husband of Shelby L. Martin. He is the grandson of Johnny A. Martin of Gainesville, and Margaret L. Martin of Lumberton, Texas. He is a 2011 graduate of Jacksboro High School in Jacksboro, Texas.
