Betty and Nyle Wilcocks of St. Lutz, Fla., and Louis "Stump" and Beth Stowers of Lula announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Leigh Stowers to Isaac Paul Carlyle, son of Wayne and Paulette Carlyle of Lula.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Joe Hulsey of Lula, the late Lee Hulsey, Margaret Stowers of Norcross and the late Vernon Stowers.

She is a 2001 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. She is pursuing a degree in pre-nursing at Gainesville State College in Oakwood. She is employed as a patient care technologist with Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Travis and Ethel Ryals and the late Hoyt and Cora Carlyle.

He is a 2000 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. He is the owner of Carlyle Septic Tank and Grading.

The couple plan to wed April 16, 2011, at Timber Ridge Baptist Church in Gainesville.
