Janet Sims Parr and Leon Parr Jr. of Cornelia announce the engagement of their daughter Crystal Nicole Sims to Jared Charles Hembree, son of Diane and Willie Stanley of Alto.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dorothy A. Brown and Dorothy Sims, both of Carl, and Colleen Parr of Cornelia.

She is a 2004 graduate of Habersham Central High School in Mount Airy. She is attending North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville majoring in business.

The groom-elect is a 2003 graduate of Banks County High School in Homer. He is employed as an extrusion doffer with TenCate in Cornelia.

The couple plans to wed Dec. 8, 2007, at Cornelia Christian Church in Cornelia.
