Mr. Roger Dennis Patterson and Mrs. Faith Rooks Patterson of Pullman, Wash., announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Elizabeth Marie Patterson to Mr. Barton Lane Mellott, son of Mr. Calvin Mellott Jr. and Mrs. Robin Mellott of Chapel Hill, N.C. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Rhuel Patterson and Mrs. Dorothy Patterson of Gainesville, and Mr. Harvey Rooks and Mrs. Betty Rooks of Gainesville. She is a 2006 graduate of Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, N.C.. She graduated in 2009 from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in management and sociology.
