Ms. Susan Sanders Parker and Mr. Wayne Boyd Parker, both of Winder, announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Mary Alice Parker to Mr. Steven Thomas Lathem, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lee Lathem of Murrayville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Mallory Sanders of Winder, the late Mr. Charles Sanders and the late Mr. and Mrs. Travis Boyd Parker.

She is a 2001 graduate of Winder Barrow High School in Winder. She graduated in 2005 from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is employed as a certified public accountant with Moore Colson and Company P.C. in Marietta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dean Thomas of Murrayville, Mrs. Charles Malcolm Lathem of Clermont and the late Mr. Charles Lathem.

He is a 1998 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2003 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree and master's degree in accounting. He is employed as a certified public accountant with Moore Colson and Company P.C.
The couple plan to wed Nov. 20, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Winder.
