William Scott and Camille Damian McGarity of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Raleigh Marie McGarity to Colby Ellis Merchant, son of Darren Wayne Briant and Dee Driesler Merchant of Alton, Mo., and David Louis and Annette Merchant of Frankfort, Ky. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Raymond Traian and Jean Clifton Damian of Watkinsville, John and Margaret McGarity of Dahlonega, and the late Anne Baird McGarity. She is a 2005 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville.
