William Lawrence and Rebecca Boyd Hollingsworth of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Elizabeth Rebecca Ann Hollingsworth to Aaron Joel Goebel, son of Joel Duane and Kathy Nelson Goebel of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edna Holmes Hollingsworth of Gainesville and the late George Griffin Hollingsworth Sr., and Arnold James Boyd of Gainesville and the late Katherine Luther Boyd.She is a 1998 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2004 from Brenau University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a teacher at Enota Multiple Intelligence Academy in Gainesville. She is a member of the Hall County Junior League.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Doris Nelson Goebel of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and the late Paul William Goebel, the late Orville Eugene Nelson and the late Ruth Lenore Nelson.He is a 1996 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed as a machinist with Tri-State Tooling Technologies in Cleveland.

The couple plans to wed June 14, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
