The Rev. and Mrs. George F. “Gef” Ganey III of Smyrna announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Ashley Elizabeth Ganey to Mr. Christopher Allen Nance, son of Ms. Becky Garrett Nance of Gainesville and Mr. Allen R. Nance of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Pam Ganey of Mullins, S.C., and the late Rev. George F. Ganey Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver G. Tucker.

She is a 2005 graduate of Covenant Christian School in Smyrna. She graduated in 2012 from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor of science degree in political science. She is employed as a product information coordinator by S.P. Richards Company in Smyrna.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Garrett Jr. of Clermont, the late Ms. Elizabeth Garrett, and Mrs. Violet Nance of Gainesville and the late Mr. Clifford Nance.

He is a 2006 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. He is currently studying horticulture at Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta. He is employed as a crew chief by Perry Landscaping Company in Marietta.

The couple plan to wed June 14, 2014, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church in Smyrna.
