Debra Gail Cronic of Oakwood and John Russell and Lorraine Cronic of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Samantha Grace Cronic to Brannon Boyd Humphries, son of Dan Humphries of Clarkesville and Marcie Humphries of Gainesville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lucille Simpson of Vidalia and the late Bernard Simpson, John and Doris Cronic of Clermont, and the step-granddaughter of Loretta Hooper of Belmont. She is a 2006 graduate of White County High School in Cleveland.
