Jerry and Deborah Adams of Flowery Branch announce the engagement of their daughter Kelly Lauren Adams to Russell Lauren Freeman, son of Larry and Brenda Freeman of Cleveland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marilyn Roper of Gainesville and the late Everett Roper, and the late John and Sarah Adams.

She is a 2001 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. She graduated in 2006 from North Georgia College and State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a paraprofessional by Hall County Board of Education in Oakwood.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Russell and Barbara Freeman of Cleveland, and Ruby Grizzle of Clermont and the late Winfred Grizzle.

He is a 2000 graduate of White County High School in Cleveland. He graduated in 2005 from Southern Polytechnic State University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology. He is employed as a manager by American Water in Cleveland.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 18, 2014, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Gainesville.
