James and Kathryn Palmer of Clermont celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 18, 2008. A reception given by their children Mark and Harry Palmer was held in their honor at the Community Center in Clermont. Among the attendees were Jerry and Dianne Bennett, Seth Palmer, Shelley Palmer, Jennifer and David Riser, Alyssa and Chandler Riser, Harry, Lori and Justin Palmer and J.W. Palmer.

The couple have two children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
