Bill and Joan Ingram of Flowery Branch celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 14, 2007. A reception held in their honor at Lady and Sons restaurant in Savannah was given by their family.

Their first 20 years were spent traveling with the military. Bill is a decorated Vietnam veteran who continues to work in private investigation and is still a fantastic golfer. Joan is beloved in the neighborhood and many of the children go to her when they need help. She used her love to recently write and illustrate a children’s book, which has been published.

The couple have three children and six grandchildren.
