Dennis and Mildred Carpenter of Flowery Branch celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 16, 2012. The family celebrated with a family trip to Nashville, Tenn., where a private reception was given by their family.The couple have two children, Lisa Carpenter English and Julie Carpenter Sexton, and four grandchildren.
