If you want beer, you need clean water. If you want clean water, you need to take care of the Chattahoochee River. To take care of the Chattahoochee, you have to have a street party. That’s right — Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, Downtown Drafts and SweetWater Brewing are saving the Hooch one beer at a time beginning at 3 p.m. March 31. The Save the Hooch Street Party will close Bradford Street to traffic beginning at 2 p.m. that Saturday. The party includes four local bands and a whole lot of SweetWater brews, and a cut of every SweetWater beer sold during the party will go to the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and its headwaters office in Gainesville.
