Fall is wine season, the perfect time to have a leisurely day with your pals tasting wine at any number of upcoming events.
Crush Fest
It’s a daylong festival with live music, wine tasting and a chance for attendees to participate in the festival’s signature event: barefoot grape stomping. Music includes live accordion and guitar from winery owners Bob and Jane Miller.
When: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2
Where: Yonah Mountain Vineyards, 1717 Ga. 255 S, Cleveland
How much: $30, which includes four 3-ounce wine tastings and take-home souvenir wine glass

Georgia’s Spirit of Appalachia Food, Wine & Art Festival
Visitors can taste Georgia wines and dishes made from Georgia products. They will be able to do all of this while enjoying live music under tents providing shade.
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16
Where: Hardman Farm Historic Site, 143 Ga. 17 Sautee Nacoochee
How much: $10 for parking and additional fees for tasting
Sunset Cove Beer and Wine Fest
Adults can enjoy the weather outside while watching college football on a huge screen. There will be more than 100 kinds of beers and more than 25 wines. No children permitted.
When: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14
Where: 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford
How much: $35 for wine and beer drinkers, $15 for designated drivers
