The J.A. Walters YMCA has arranged for a family fun day to celebrate the arrival of autumn.

From noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, the YMCA at 2455 Howard Road in Gainesville will host its annual fall festival.

Admission for the event is free, but there will be activity tickets available for purchase.

The festival will include a costume contest, raffles and magic show. Kids may also enjoy getting a balloon animal, having their faces painted or experimenting with "crazy hair."

There will be a "trunk and treat" car decorating contest, horseback riding and hay rides. Also offered are bounce houses, games and food available for purchase.
