Watercolor society works on display in Dawsonville
Bowen Center for the Arts features 35 artists' pieces until Feb. 24

More than 35 Georgia Watercolor Society members from all across the United States who have reached the “signature” level status is in the spotlight in Dawson County.

The Bowen Center for the Arts is showcasing the group’s 2017 Signature Member Exhibition until Feb. 24 at 334 Ga. 9 N in Dawsonville. Artists who have reached signature status have to be accepted to three juried shows, one being a national exhibition.

The free show opened with the awards reception Jan. 14 with judging by Amanda McClure, executive director of the Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Gainesville.

To see the show and view the winning pieces, the Bowen Center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
