UNG scholarship winners have their work on display at campus gallery

Six University of North Georgia Gainesville campus students will have their moment in the sun coupled with a monetary prize.

Aleta Reid, Lauren Bradshaw, Cayla Hall, Eric Cortez, Young Lee and Dustin Hogen are the 2017 Gainesville winners of the Student Art Scholarships. A panel of faculty members in the Department of Visual Arts choose students to receive scholarships and participate in an exhibition.

Along with the funds for school, the college students will have their artwork on display from April 17-26 in the Roy C. Moore Gallery at UNG Gainesville at 3820 Mundy Mill Road in Oakwood.

The awards presentation and exhibition reception will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, in the gallery.
