Toccoa Symphony performs its Christmas concert Dec. 4

The Toccoa Symphony Orchestra's annual Christmas Concert is set for Dec. 4 at the Georgia Baptist Conference Center in Toccoa.

The Toccoa Symphony Orchestra will present its annual Christmas Concert beginning at 4 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Georgia Baptist Conference Center in Toccoa.

Doors open at 3 p.m.

The orchestra, founded in 1977, comprises 50-60 musicians lead by conductor David Stufft.

The program of holiday favorites will include "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus," "Christmas Rocks at the Pops" and "A Bach Christmas."

The 100-member orchestra choir, led by conductor Dr. Thomas M. Council, joins in singing popular and classic Christmas tunes, including "Let it Snow" and the Hallelujah Chorus.

The Christmas Concert marks the first performance of the 35th year of the TSO and is the first concert of the 2011-2012 concert season.

Advance tickets are $7 for adults and $10 at the door. Student tickets are $3 in advance, $5 at the door.
