The romance of an orphaned peasant girl and the rich city boy whom she saves from death will be revived in the one-act musical “Once on this Island” at Gainesville High School. The school’s theater troupe will tell the story of Ti Moune, who is destined to love too much for the human heart to bear. In the musical, she uses the power of love to break down social barriers.
