Spring expo starts Friday at Chicopee with all the essentials for green thumbs

For the ninth year in a row, the Hall County Master Gardeners have arranged a cornucopia of delights for planting enthusiasts.

Friday and Saturday, the group will host its annual Spring Garden Expo. at the Chicopee woods Agricultural Center, 1855 Calvary Church Road, Gainesville.

The masters are a group of volunteers who have donated thousands of work hours to promote gardening knowledge, appreciation and enjoyment throughout the community.

From azaleas to zinnias, if its related to gardening, chances are attendees will be able to find it at the expo.

According to event organizers, there will be more than 50 vendors on hand selling items like garden tools, yard art and even antique water fountains.

And of course attendees will be able to take their pick of shrubs, trees, annuals and perennials.

There will also be gardening demonstrations, hands-on workshops and a children’s booth.

Admission to the two-day, rain-or-shine event is free, but participants are asked to leave their pets at home.
