"Ol' Blue Eyes" is back again. Well, not in the flesh, but the next best thing.

Gabriel Russo will star in "Summer Wind: An Intimate Evening with Frank Sinatra" at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Habersham Community Theater in Clarkesville.

Russo, a Dahlonega resident, has performed at the Cumming Playhouse and the Holly Theater for several years. "Summer Wind" is his tribute to Sinatra's music and career.

The show is presented in two acts. The first an informal meeting backstage with Frank before a concert, during which he discusses his career in music and film with a few songs. The second act is a 45-minute concert with all the best of Sinatra's music.

The two-hour show includes a 20-minute intermission.

Russo's family is immersed in showbiz. His aunt, Helen O'Connell, sang with the Dorseys and his father, Gabe Sr., was a saloon crooner of renown.

Russo, originally from Philadelphia, began singing with his father and pianist Junie Price at age 8. In his teens, he turned to rock ‘n' roll, singing lead vocals in several rock bands as well as playing guitar and bass guitar for many years. He has performed as a solo acoustic act, an on-air TV auctioneer and as a recurring character on an award-winning live radio show and briefly hosted his own TV show.

Russo has been an actor since 1973 when he played an orderly in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." He has portrayed a host of characters on stage in "Guys and Dolls," "Camelot," "South Pacific" and "The Odd Couple."
