Reach for the stars Saturday night

The first Stars over Elachee for the fall season will be from 8-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Elachee Nature Science Center in Gainesville. Visitors will learn how a telescope works, how to set one up and use one of eight 6-inch Dobsonian telescopes to view the moon, planets, stars and constellations. Visitors may see several shooting stars since it will be during the peak of the Perseid meteor shower.
