The Piedmont College Chambers Singers will perform their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the college chapel in Demorest.

The theme for the concert is "Psalms, Hymns, and Canticles." The piece selection includes "Psalm 148" by Gustav Holst, written in 1912; "The Earth Adorned," a three-verse hymn by Swedish organist Waldemar Ahlen; and Giles Swayne's "Magnificat," an evangelical canticle based on the Gospel of Luke.

The ensemble, directed by Dr. Wallace Hinson, will be accompanied by Louise Bass on organ.

The Chamber Singers members are admitted by audition only and perform a wide variety of music from Renaissance to 21st century. The group is also known for performing ethnic and contemporary choral music, folksongs and spirituals. The group has performed across the U.S. and Canada.
