The Oaks at Lanier Charter Career Academy is seeking works from artists ages 8 through adult to display on campus.

As part of The Oaks’ 2012 Art Showcase, the academy will highlight works by local artists and students attending educational institutions in the greater Hall County area.

Specific categories of interest include painting, pastels, drawing, photography and digital art. Works may be submitted in suitable frames, wired and ready for hanging (no glass).

Works also may be submitted “as is” at standard sizes and framed for presentation by The Oaks. Artists will be responsible for the delivery and pickup of art.

Accepted works will be placed on exhibit at student-operated businesses at The Oaks for approximately six months. If desired, selected artwork may be offered for sale at The Oaks at the price indicated by the artist, with 25 percent of the selling price to be retained by the academy.

Artists will be responsible for insuring their own pieces against damage.

New artwork will be selected each month for display by Lanier Charter Career Academy’s Governing Board. Previously selected pieces will continue to be on display throughout the exhibition period.
