Beatrice and Benedick are portrayed by Brenau sophomore Caroline Mitchell and University of North Georgia sophomore David Martin. The duo match wits in a war about love in Gainesville Theatre Alliance’s production of “Much Ado About Nothing.”
Beginning on Valentine’s Day, theater lovers will listen in on secret conversations at a costume ball, a grand courtyard, a jail and a wedding celebration as the Gainesville Theatre Alliance performs William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.” It’s part of the fun for the troupe’s annual February Festival featuring two plays performing simultaneously. “Much Ado” will be on the stage from Feb. 14-25 in the Ed Cabell Theater at the University of North Georgia Gainesville campus in Oakwood.
