Magical Lights Tour, Winter Adventure open through January at Lanier Islands
Drive through Christmas scenes and play in the snow in Buford

Lanier Islands will open its Magical Lights Tour and Winter Adventure on Saturday, Nov. 18, at its location in Buford. The Winter Adventure will include snow slides while the Magical Lights Tour will allow motorists to see a spectacle of lights from their vehicles.

Faux snow will blow into Buford on Nov. 18 as Lanier Islands opens its latest edition of LanierWorld Winter Adventure.

The experience will feature the Magical Lights Tour, a festive driving tour through 7 miles of twinkling holiday light displays. It leads to Santa’s Village inside LanierWorld. For an additional costs, visitors may play in designated snow zones or speed down snow slides, or take a spin on the skating rink filled with bubbles, according to Lanier Islands website (www.lanierislands.com/lanierworld).

Children will have the chance to see Santa and share their Christmas wish lists with him.

Other activities at LanierWorld include classic carnival rides, holiday shorts or full-length feature films on a five-story screen and roasting marshmallows for s’mores at the fire pits.

Families may also see Crosspointe Church’s live Nativity scene from Nov. 18 to Dec. 23 inside the grand hall. It will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

For overnight guests, they can purchase an accommodation package for Breakfast with Santa or Elf Tuck-ins.

Admission to the Magical Lights Tour at Winter Adventure is $45 per car. Advance purchase online is $36 per car.

To participate in the other Winter Adventure activities, visitors may purchase wristbands for unlimited carnival rides and access to the snow play zones.

For added savings, LanierWorld partners offer $5 off coupons that can be applied at the gate and inside LanierWorld.

Winter Adventure opens at 11:30 a.m. while the Magical Lights Tours starts at 5:30 p.m.
