Lanier Islands offers discounts to Georgia residents on Community Days
Gate fee into resort waived for Hall County residents May 6-7
Children and adults may splash around in the wave pool or lake at LanierWorld in Lanier Islands in Buford.

While Lanier Islands has been dedicated to giving back to the community through can drives and free admission for active duty military and first responders to LanierWorld, it is taking the concept one step further.

The resort is offering free front gate access to the resort and discounts for admission to LanierWorld this summer.

“We want the people of Atlanta and surrounding cities to view us as ‘their Islands,’” Lanier Islands Chairman of the Board Virgil Williams said. “We felt the most impactful way to make our guests truly feel like the Islands is theirs, is to honor them with Community Days, which over the course of a weekend, pays tribute to the city where they live. The best part is, they’ll receive an invitation in the mail that affords them and up to seven more guests with 50 percent off our admission to LanierWorld, our beach, boardwalk and waterpark entertainment district.”

Gainesville, Braselton, Hoschton and Flowery Branch will have their Community Days on May 6 and 7.

In addition, Lanier Islands will select one lucky Community Day visitor each hour from 1-6 p.m. to win a family season pass to LanierWorld Summer Adventure. Family Season Passes include unlimited season-long admission to LanierWorld for two adults and one child.

Community Days will include a main street festival feel with fun and games on the beach, community featurettes on the five-story high HD screen, live entertainment, giveaways, photo opportunities with LanierWorld mascot Bucky the Beaver.
